Hey Everyone! Aug 29
Well I'm sorry I have been lazy at writing. But I totally forgot to mention a few things that happened two weeks ago.
Most importantly, my recent converts from Harrisonburg, Angie and Garol Harris, came to visit me for the weekend! It was SO GOOD to see them! It totally made my week. I love them so much. They took us out to lunch and even came to a teaching appointment with us. I wish I could've spent more time with them, but of course, we still need to do our missionary work. But it was so sweet of them to come all the way down here to see me. LOVED IT!!
We also had the opportunity to go to a service at the "Church of Christ." Our District leader and his comp were invited to go, so of course the call me up and aske if we wanted to go with them. It was a crazy experience. I've never been to another church service. It was interesting. I had a headache by the end because of how loud the preacher was yellling... in the microphone... Maybe he thought we couldn't hear him. But her for sure didn't need the mic. It was a fun time though. Very different. I think I'll stick to the Mormon faith :)
Joseph passed away two weeks ago and they finally had a memorial for him this past Saturday. It was good to meet some of his family and say our last goodbye's.
The work it going great. We got transfer calls last night and sister silotti and I are staying and we're getting a third companion. Her name is Sister Kim and I'll be step training her. It should be a lot of fun. I liked being in a threesum.
Cory came to church on Sunday!!! YAY!!!! we actually went to the Sandbridge ward because its at 9 and that's the only time he could go to just attend sacrament meeting. it was a GREAT SPIRITUAL meeting. The bishop and one of his councelors spoke and it was AMAZING!!! what a great service to introduce someone to the church!!
This past sunday Sister Sweet, Sister S and I performed "His Hands" for the Salem ward. It was a rock solid spiritual experience. They all LOVED it. People were crying all over the place. I love making people cry :) In a good spiritual way that is :) We've been asked to perform it on September 13th for the singles ward as well. Sister Sweet (the Lambornes daughter) has an AMAZING singing voice. OH MY GOODNESS is she good! It all just flowed really well. I loved it!! So much fun!!
That really about all. we had to reset Margie for baptism. The advisary is working his magic and pulling her down hard, but she'll fight through it. It just takes time.
