The Call

Exciting stuff!! I finally received my mission call to Richmond Virginia on July 10th, 2008. I leave September 3rd, 2008 for the MTC and will be staying there for 3 weeks. Waiting for my call to arrive was one of the most intense experiences I've ever had. I got my call one day later then I had planned on. I was at work dying from excitement! I left work on my lunch break to try and calm myself down and not kill myself with impatients. Shortly after I left my BEST FRIEND Becki called me and said "you will never guess what came in the mail!" I said "my call!! No way!" She said "I'm holding it in my hand right now!" So I rushed back to work and surely enough, there it was. I called my family and my boyfriends family immediately and they rushed to my work so we could open it together. My hands were shaking with excitement! It was so amazing holding that letter in my hands not knowing where I'll be going for the next 18 months. When I read Virginia I was not disappointed in the least bit. I couldn't think or imagine a better place for me to serve. I love the gospel!! Its so much fun to learn about and its amazing how much my testimony has grown these past few months. I KNOW that this is the only true church and it was restored to its fullest by the prophet Joseph Smith. I can't wait to get out and share my testimony to the people in Virginia. Wish me luck :)

Congratulations! I just happened on your blog and am glad for you. We had three boys and one girl serve and while it was sometimes trying, and we missed them a lot, they grew, touched lives and came back grown up. My the Lord bless you in this work.
